Face and Neck - Lifting
Lifting of the forehead
Because of mimic movements of the forehead and through the process of aging, transverse wrinkles and glabellar frown lines can occur, as well as a ptosis of the eyebrows.

We operate a facelift using a modern, scar saving method in combination with SMAS or MACS procedures, which reposition the soft tissue and muscles. The direction and intensity of pulling the tissue has to be planed carefully before the operation. Our modern operation technique results in a natural mimic without a mask-like expression.
Frequently, there is no need for an extended facelift. Combining small procedures sometimes provides an alternative therapy. A minilift in combination with a blepharoplasty or autologous fat transfer can lead to a more harmoneous result.
The surgical procedures in that case are less apparent. The face does not look operated on but relaxed, fresh and younger.
Necklift
The soft skin of the neck undergoes constant motion and is therefore strained. The signs of aging are more apparent in the neck region. For an optimal outcome a combination of face- and neck lifting is sometimes necessary.

Cheek remodeling
The outlines of the cheeks make facial expression distinct. Through the natural process of aging the cheek-region flatten more and more as soft tissues disappear.
Contouring of the cheeks can be archieved using cheek implants or by autologous(one´s own) bodyfat transplantation.
During a face lift operation soft tissue of the lower cheek can be anchored above the cheekbone area in order to regain former outlines.
Chin and Neck contouring
A double chin is a fatty proliferation underneath the chin and can occur already in obese juveniles.
More often you can find this problem in patients over the age of forty.
If the skin is flexible liposuction is the first line treatment. If not, a skin tightening procedure is necessary additionally. For further improvement, a chin implant can be useful to harmonise the chin projection.
Anti-Aging treatment
In line with to the natural aging process environmental influences like UV-light and smoking accelerate the aging of the skin. Skin becomes thinner and loses elasticity, wrinkles occur and get deeper. Modern plastic surgery offers non invasive procedures to antagonize the progression of aging and to soften the wrinkles of the skin.
Correction of wrinkle lines
Hyaloronic acid is produced naturally in the body, therefore it is well tolerated and is ideal for wrinkle filling within the face. In our department we inject the hyaloronic acid from inside the mouth (transvestibular oral).
Botulinum Toxin A- treatment
The reason for wrinkles around the eyes and the mouth is natural creasing of the skin with the contraction of the facial muscles. Botulinum toxin A is injected in the corresponding muscle, leading to a suptle inhibition of strong mimic movement for 5-8 month.
The facial expression and skin sensation is not altered.
Wrinkle treatment by Laser
For Laser treatment of facial lines we provide the latest Laser therapy. This modern and effective treatment is free of pain and can be done without anaesthesia as an outpatient.
The results are convincing and the redness disappears within 4-5 days.
Body Fat transplantation (Lipostructure)
Bodyfattransplantation is a very modern method in plastic facial surgery. The main indications are to inject facial wrinkle lines and support lost facial soft tissue. Lips as well as the cheek bone area can be naturally increased by using this technique.
Own body fat is not a foreign material, allergic reactions are therefore excluded.

Eyelids
The eyes play a central role in the expression of a positive aura in people.
Therefore, in aesthetic surgery, the blepharoplasty has a long tradition. Radiating, open eyes mean an attractive facial expression and give a friendly, alert and positive expression.
Upper eyelid overhang, in combination with increased lacrimal sacs give a tired and old facial expression. Excessive skin around the eye leads to a limited visual field. Corrections at the upper and lower eyelid release the view and give a refreshed and radiant facial expression. An eyebrow lift might be necessary in addition.
Surgery of the eyelids needs surgical experience and expertise in order not to destroy important nerval structures and to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result. In our department blepharoplasty is one of the most frequently performed aesthetic procedures.
Upper lid blepharoplasty
The upper lid blepharoplasty reduces excessive skin and eyelid overhang. You can see more of the eye and it enlarges the visual field.
Lower lid blepharoplasty
This procedure reduces the increased lacrimal sacs and circumorbital rings. Fatty pads are reduced or excised. If the skin is very elastic the procedure can be performed fom inside the eyelid without visible scars. Otherwise the scars are placed in the anatomical lidline, barely visible and are hardly visible after 3 month.
Nose
The nose being placed in the middle of the face is very important for the facial expression. Functionally, the nose is a breathing organ and fulfils a vital function.
In men, a straight bridge appears attractive as well as a right angle between columella and upper lip. A female nose appears beautiful through a concave nose bridge and a straight open angle between columella and upper lip.
The aim of a rhinoplasty is to achieve form and size of the nose to match the facial dimensions. Occasionally this can as well optimize the breathing through the nose.
An aestheticly pleasing result would aim to closely assimilate the current beauty ideal while keeping the characteristic features of the individual.
Closed rhinoplasty
If possible, the surgical procedure is done through an opening inside the nostrils. This avoids visible scars.
Open Rhinoplasty
In complex surgeries or very thin skin an open rhinoplasty is done. A little cut at the columella leaves an almost invisible scar.
Ears
Prominent ears are congenital malformations which can cause anguish especially in children. At the age of 5 the definite size of the ears is reached, therefore an otopexy is recommended before school enrolment. During the procedure the ears are permanently structured and laid closer to the head. Modern aesthetic surgery can also correct oversized ears, jug ears, prominent earlaps, asymmetry and other birth deformities of the ears.
Operation: Through a cut on the backside of the ear, the cartilage is structured in a way to approach a natural looking position.
Chin
If you have a prominent or receeding chin it can sometimes be necessary to do a nose correction to harmonize your facial profile. Corrections of the chin are always operated from inside the mouth to avoid visible scar.
For chin reduction, additional liposuction can be an useful adjunct for outlining the chin/neck angle. Chin augmentations can be done with autologous or implant material.
Chin implant
Position and outline of the chin are important components for a harmonic profile. A plastic surgeon will bring the outline of the whole face into consideration. Chin implants are made out of silicon structure or proplast implants.
Chin reduction
The cheek, the nose and the chin determine the profile line of the face Therefore a correction of the profile line might need a combination of rhinoplasty and chin correction.
For this procedure a correction of the profile is done with a resection of the front part of the mandibular bone.
Correction of the Lips using Filler
Full, nicely shaped lips are an expression of beauty. Through the process of aging lips are losing their juvenile fullness. The face appears to be older and it can reflect a suffering or careworn expression.
Aesthetic surgery offers different possibilities of correction methods.
Correction with Fillers
This procedure uses well established and well tolerated substances which are injected into the lips. They give the back the desired volume.
We only use natural or biological substances, which give back the missing support of the soft tissue and which are degradable.
Eversionplasty
Using the everion technique you can achieve a visual build-up of the upper lip, without using filler itself. A small barely visible incision is made underneath the nose extending to the ala of the nose, to reduce skin. The lip is pulled up and therefore more red of the lip is visible. The advantage of this method lies in not using foreign material and the effect is permanent.
Arms
Through to weight loss, aging and gravity the skin of the arms and the subcutaneous tissues lose tension. Plastic surgery uses modern operation techniques to decrease these signs of aging.
Upper Armlift
Due to the natural processes of aging skin loses its elasticity. This leads especially in arms to a skin excess. The skin excess and the subcutaneous tissue is reduced by doing an armlift procedure. The resulting scar are hidden at the inner sides of the arms.
Upper Arm Liposuction
Liposuction has established itself as a useful additional technique to optimise results after an armlift. Very voluminous arms can be reducted in size using liposuction alone if the elasticity of the skin allows.

Female Breast
The breast is an essential feature of the female silhouette. It develops differently in any woman and changes due to pregnancy, hormonal influences, weight changes and aging.
Most women feel comfortable if the breast fits harmoniously to the other structures of the body. If not, it can lead to depression and physical impairment of the patient. Even sexuality can be influenced negatively. Plastic surgery can be a method to help the patients, with modern low risk operation technique and scar saving methods.

Breast reduction
Excessive glandular and fatty tissues are reduced in the lower part of the breast. Sometimes it is necessary to replace or minimize the nipple as well. We only perform the scar saving method (vertical incision up to a nipple jugular distance of 60 cm (gigantomasty)).

Breast augmentation
Women with a congenital hypoplastia of the breast, after lactation or pregnancy sometimes express the wish for a breast augmentation. A flaccid or ptotic breast as well as an asymmetry of the breast can be indications for a breast augmentation. During the operation a silicon implant will be placed either underneath the breast tissue or the muscle.
Using modern operation techniques, incisions can be placed in order for the scar to be hardly visible.
Increasing the volume of the breast mound, very good results can be achieved. If the skin appears to be very loose, a breast lift might be a useful addition.
Breast lift
Pregnancy, lactation and aging can influence form and firmness of the breast negatively. Mastopexy is a procedure to lift and newly form relaxed and ptotic breasts. Nipples can be lifted and asymmetries can be reduced.
Scar are placed to be as invisible as possible.
Breast reconstruction
If breast cancer has led to a mastectomy, reconstructing the breast can be an important step to recovery to many patients. The reconstruction of the breast can be done immediately or later.
Modern plastic surgery offers different procedures to reconstruct the breast with the own fatty tissue, or using implants as well as modern methods of tissue transplantation.

Male Breast
The growth of male breast (gynaecomastia) is very common in young adults as well as in men. While gynaecomastia in puberty can disappear spontaneously, gynaecomastia in adult men can be corrected using plastic surgery if sporting activities or diets are not successful.
The mammary gland, excessive fatty tissue and excessive skin can be reduced by surgery. Performing liposuction procedures is a common addition to improve results.
Liposuction
Many cases of breast growth in men are due to increased fatty tissue. This can take place in puberty as well as after 40 years of age. In many cases the growth of the male breast is due to hormone changes in the body. Liposuction has been performed many years. Using specialized hollow rods mammary glands can be extracted by suction. Most of the time the skin retracts very well and we get very good results using this minimally invasive technique
Abdomen
A slim waistline is ideal for a general view of a good figure. Often women after their pregnancies and males or females after weight reduction are not satisfied with their tummy. Due to a long period of abdominal wall extension the muscle and the tissues are relaxed. After pregnancies and weight loss an atonic saggy abdomen remains. This often occurrs in combination with an opening of the relaxed abdominal muscles, causing the abdomen to bulge even more.
Sports and massages can rarely improve this as the structural tissues are most often too lax as well.
Abdominoplasty
This is a good method to correct an unattractive abdomen. Using this procedure the fatty tissue is reduced from the ventral abdomen by surgery. In some cases, liposuction can improve the result.
Bodylift
The bodylift is a combination of abdominoplasty, thighlift and buttock lift.
This is a procedure for patients who have lost a lot of weight and now have an enormous skin excess.
Liposuction
Persistent fat deposition in many different regions of the body, e.g. abdomen, upper arms, hips, thigh, buttock, or face and neck can often not be dealt with by diet or sports in slim patients.
Using liposuction, Plastic surgery has developed smooth and effective method to reduce these disturbing fat pads permanently.
Sometimes a skin tightening can be performed in addition to reach an optimal result.
Legs
Slim and nicely shaped legs are lekker. With age, fatty pads can develop especially on the upper legs and buttocks, resistent to diet and sports. There is also increased laxity of the skin. Cellulitis, telangiectases or hair can affect the beauty of the legs additionally. We offer different effective modern and optimal treatment options at our clinic.
Liposuction of the thigh
To give legs a more beautiful outline, liposuction of the outer thigh, knees, as well as inner thigh and the ventral part of the thigh can be performed. Most of the procedures can be done in local anaesthesia and as an outpatient. Patients have to wear a compression stocking postoperatively for 3-6 weeks day and night. Less commonly we perform liposuction of the lower legs, the calves and ankle region. In order to achieve a beautiful contour of the leg this can be done additionally.
Thighlift
If there is lax and overextended skin in addition to fatty pads, a thigh lift can be the method of choice. Frequently it is combined with liposuction. The lift is localized on the inner side of the thigh. Modern operation techniques result in greater sustainability.
Buttocks
Buttock implants and lifts
A nicely shaped and firm buttock- who does not want it? Most of the times neither sports nor dieting will help to result in a nicer buttock unless you are constitutionally lucky. Helpful could be buttock implants, a buttock lift or fat transplantation. You can harvest fat through liposuction and transfer it to the elected area after adequate conditioning.
Having a buttock lift done, the excessive skin and fat will be decreased and newly formed. To achieve a buttock like Jennifer Lopez or Brad Pitt we recommend the buttock implants. Silicon implants in all sizes as well as special operation techniques replace the missing volume and give the buttock a symmetrical and beautiful outline.
The implants are not palpable, allow free movement and give a natural feel while sitting.
Under general anaesthesia an incision will be placed at the vertical gluteal fold. Underneath the gluteus muscle two bags will be prepared in which the silicon implants are placed. The implants are made of highly cross linked silicon, which cannot leak even if the silicon skin has been damaged. Wound fluid drains will be placed. Patients have to wear a compressive panty. Sitting will not be influenced since the implants are not placed over the bony prominences.
