The Hospital of Cologne Merheim was the first medical centre in the region to receive certification as a first level trauma centre It is certified as KTQ (Cooperation for transparency and quality control in the public health sector). The certification process is to rerun every 3 years, to assure the high quality for the future. After clearance with KTQ a quality record was published.
